Congratulations Uncle John and Aunt Marybeth!

Johnny and Marybeth had a baby Sunday night. John Earnest III (Jonas) was born on Sunday night, October 28th. He weighed 6lbs 12 oz and was 21 inches long. He and Marybeth are doing good. I think Marybeth had a few complications, but seems to being much better now.
For those of you who are keeping track, Caitlyn and Jonas are exactly one week apart! I think Caitlyn might be settling into some sort of routine now. I talked to Chris this weekend, and he seemed to be concerned that she had her days/nights mixed up. But when I talked to them tonight, they seemed much more relaxed!

I am looking forward to this weekend. I am flying out early Friday morning for a quick trip to MS to see the new babies. I can't wait! I am sure I will have lots of pics to post.

Oh, and in the midst of all the baby news, I forgot to wish a Happy Birthday to POP! The kids called and sang "Happy Birthday"! And were very excited when he said that he had bought THEM gifts for HIS birthday. I had to tell them it used to be a family tradition. Happy Birthday POP!

Congratulations Uncle Chris and Aunt Michelle!

Chris, my brother, and his wife, Michelle had a baby girl today! Caitlyn Reese was born about 9pm on Sunday, October 21st. She weighed 6lbs 15oz; 21in long.
I hear that she is beautiful and came equiped with some "healthy" lungs!
I will try to post some pics when I get them!

I should also have an update on Johnny, my other brother, and Marybeth's baby on Tuesday. Marybeth's due date is the 24th of Ocotber! What a month!

No more Training Wheels!

This is one of those moments that you are proud of while it is happening, but then a few minutes later you say, "What the heck!"

Thursday night, Laurel and I took a bike ride up the street. While we were riding she said she wanted to take the training wheels off of her bike. Kyle had Landon at soccer practice, and so when we got back to the house, I found the thingy that you use to loosen the thing. (Sorry for my technical terminology!) Anyway...I finally got the wheels off. And off she goes! Literally! I helped her get started, but she just took off. Not without any mishaps as you will see, but she was riding the bike with no problem by the time that Kyle and Landon got back home. We had all of the neighbors outside cheering her on which is right up her ally for those of you who know how much Laurel loves to entertain! At times, she would get a little "silly" and start laughing...and fall off!

We practiced a little bit more on Friday night as well. And Daddy put some more air in her tires. So she is set.

So again, this was one of those moments when you are so proud and excited. Then, when you are left wondering what to do about the training wheels that she will no longer need.....you start to cry a little because your baby is a BIG girl now!

It was a good day for Flag Football! Our little Landon played QB and Linebacker today in his football game. He did really well and was really excited to play QB. He even had a QB sneak play! He had a really good "tackle" as Linebacker as well....it really made Dad proud!
