Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day, we went with our Friends, the Johnson's, to their family's cabin in Land O' Lakes, WI. It was absolutely beautiful. The lake that we went to is right on the Wisconsin/Michigan border...(the Northwoods). We had such a good time, we thank the Johnson's for inviting us. There was so much to do there. We fished, rode wave runners, took a canoe ride, rode 4 wheelers, went boating, had a fish fry...... you get my point. Landon caught a Walleye and was super excited about it.

On the way back home, Landon said that it was the funnest place he had been. (I guess it tops Disney) :) And Laurel wanted to buy a wave runner. When I asked her where we would store it, she said the garage. Then I asked her where she would ride it, and she said, "Rock Island". Well, for those of you who don't know, Rock Island is actually a city in Illinois just across the river....I think she thought it sounded like the perfect place to ride a wave runner.

Toothless Wonder!

One month ago, I was sitting at soccer saying that I was a little concerned because every 7 year old that we know has lost at least one tooth...and more likely multiple teeth, but my little Landon had not lost a single tooth! In fact, none seemed to be loose either!

Well, have you ever heard the saying "Be careful what you wish for"? Because now 4 weeks later, my sweet little boy is TOOTHLESS! He lost another tooth today, his 3rd tooth in a week and a half. He lost it at school, and the teacher sent him to the nurse because it was bleeding a little. They gave him a cute little envelope to put it in that says "My tooth".

For the life of me, I don't know how he is going to eat. Thankfully, one tooth is already coming through.

He lost another

At 7:55am on Wednesday morning, September 3rd, Landon lost his second tooth. Six days after losing his first tooth. When he goes to the dentist on Monday, she is going to be shocked! They seem to be just falling out of nowhere. He still has one more loose tooth!
This time the tooth fairy only left him $2. (And Laurel tried to convince him that the reason she left two $1 bills was so that she could have one too.) He told her that she had to lose her own tooth to get a dollar. :) She sounds an awful lot like her Uncle Chris!

Tooth Fairy

The tooth fairy has come, and probably will make a second visit by the end of the week. Landon came in to our bathroom at 7:45 on Thursday, August 28th, and said, "Mom, my tooth came out." That calm statement was then followed by total chaos! We all were really excited for him and quickly made a few phone calls to grandparents. I made a few pictures really quick then we ran up to the bus stop to meet the bus at 8:07am....I told you it was chaos! To make things a little more complicated, we were leaving that afternoon to go to a friends cabin on a lake in Wisconsin for the weekend....so when Landon got home from school on Thursday afternoon, he quickly wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy telling her that we would be in Land O' Lakes, WI, and he hoped she could find us. (We also left Mapquest directions). That night, the tooth fairy did find us, and it turns out the she (he) is VERY generous because he came running in at 6:15 am saying that the tooth fairy left him $50! (I feel like I got the shaft because I never got near that much for a tooth!)

Fast forward to tonight, Sept. 2nd. We spent about 20 minutes actively trying to pull the second tooth tonight. The second tooth is the other top front tooth, and it is just hanging! Landon had such pretty teeth, but this looks nasty! I was hoping to pull it to make it look better, but no luck yet. It really should be any minute. In fact, I am kind of worried that he may swallow it tonight.
