Laurel's 5th Birthday!

So does everyone remember the day she was born? She came from NOWHERE! It was supposed to be a regular 36 week check-up, and all of a sudden they are saying that she is coming TODAY! It was a whirlwind the day she was born, and has not slowed down one bit since she arrived! She was a fiesty 5lb baby, and is still a fiesty 5yr old little girl. I HOPE TO THE HIGH HEAVENS THAT SHE NEVER CHANGES!
We had her birthday party at a skating rink in Davenport, IA. We invited all of her little friends from school, and Norah, Farrah, and Aunt Jen made the trip from Cedar Falls. It feels like we have celebrating her birthday for a few weeks now. Every day she gets a few more gifts! I think she is going to start thinking that she has a Birthday Month, not just a day!

Congratulations Uncle John and Aunt Marybeth!

Johnny and Marybeth had a baby Sunday night. John Earnest III (Jonas) was born on Sunday night, October 28th. He weighed 6lbs 12 oz and was 21 inches long. He and Marybeth are doing good. I think Marybeth had a few complications, but seems to being much better now.
For those of you who are keeping track, Caitlyn and Jonas are exactly one week apart! I think Caitlyn might be settling into some sort of routine now. I talked to Chris this weekend, and he seemed to be concerned that she had her days/nights mixed up. But when I talked to them tonight, they seemed much more relaxed!

I am looking forward to this weekend. I am flying out early Friday morning for a quick trip to MS to see the new babies. I can't wait! I am sure I will have lots of pics to post.

Oh, and in the midst of all the baby news, I forgot to wish a Happy Birthday to POP! The kids called and sang "Happy Birthday"! And were very excited when he said that he had bought THEM gifts for HIS birthday. I had to tell them it used to be a family tradition. Happy Birthday POP!
