It's a GIRL!

Laila Charlotte Fulcher arrived at 8:28am on October 22nd via C-section. It was such a strange experience for us this time around actually knowing the day that we would have a baby. Kyle and I didn't sleep any the night before because we were so excited. So we finally turned on the tv around 3am. Kyle got up to go play the playstation and I laid in bed and watched infomercials. (More on this topic later...)

Nonna and Pop came up on Tuesday afternoon in time to pick up Landon and Laurel from school. The kids were so excited to see them! We got to show them the new house since this was their first visit to KC (we've only been here 3mths ourselves!). Then the kids wanted to take Pop and Nonna to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner! YUM. You should have seen the mudslide pies that we had for dessert. They were huge! Kyle, mom and I split one while Landon and Pop each had their own!
On Wednesday, Kyle took the day off and we got to show Pop and Nonna around a little. We went to lunch, and of course, did a little shopping. Mom helped me finish decorating Landon and Laurel's room! Thank goodness.
Then Big Pop and Meme arrived later that afternoon in the camper which always excites Landon and Laurel. They love sleeping in the camper. We ordered in pizza, and just let Landon and Laurel enjoy both sets of grandparents.

On Thursday, Kyle and I headed to the hospital at 6:45am....and by 8:28am we had our beautiful new addition to our already blessed family. She is a beautiful, healthy little girl, and I just cannot believe that she is ours. She is worth every bit of heartbreak that we had to get here and MORE!
We were so happy that we had our families here to share this moment with us.
Landon and Laurel couldn't be more excited either. They both ask to hold her and feed her. And every day before and after school they give her kisses to say goodbye or hello. Laurel likes to pick out what she wears everyday. It is like my mom said, "She has a real live baby doll now!"

Field Day at SRE

Field Day is a day when many outdoor/indoor activities are planned at the school. It is great exercise for the kids. And Landon and Laurel had been looking forward to it for days! The teachers said that it was hard to keep the kids focused on the morning activities. (I imagine so!) The kids had a blast as you can see from the pictures....

Sports!

We have been playing soccer (both Landon and Laurel), fall baseball, and Laurel has been in gymnastics and was able to cheer at a high school football game. It seems like every weekend we have at least 2 sporting events to attend. This weekend, we will have 3...and Landon has an off week for Soccer!

This is just a sampling of what we have been doing with our time in KC so far.

First Iowa visitors

We had a great weekend in September with our friends the Germains from Bettendorf. Landon and PJ are good friends, and we had kind of gotten attached to the whole Germain family. Or Germaaaaiins as Laurel says.

It was a short trip, but very much appreciated. They arrived on Friday evening, and the kids went crazy!!! I forgot to mention that Landon and Laurel had been counting down the days for weeks.

Saturday Kyle and Mark played golf and Peggy and I took the kids to an Apple Festival (complete with Apple Pie flavored yogurt).

The kids seemed to have tons of fun. They were able to feed goats, they mined for gems (they could have done this for hours), and played on the playground.

Well, the other front tooth fell out this weekend...and school pics are Thursday! Here is a preview of what Laurel's 1st grade picture will look like. (I do plan on brushing her hair, though!)
