Sports!

We have been playing soccer (both Landon and Laurel), fall baseball, and Laurel has been in gymnastics and was able to cheer at a high school football game. It seems like every weekend we have at least 2 sporting events to attend. This weekend, we will have 3...and Landon has an off week for Soccer!

This is just a sampling of what we have been doing with our time in KC so far.

First Iowa visitors

We had a great weekend in September with our friends the Germains from Bettendorf. Landon and PJ are good friends, and we had kind of gotten attached to the whole Germain family. Or Germaaaaiins as Laurel says.

It was a short trip, but very much appreciated. They arrived on Friday evening, and the kids went crazy!!! I forgot to mention that Landon and Laurel had been counting down the days for weeks.

Saturday Kyle and Mark played golf and Peggy and I took the kids to an Apple Festival (complete with Apple Pie flavored yogurt).

The kids seemed to have tons of fun. They were able to feed goats, they mined for gems (they could have done this for hours), and played on the playground.

Preview of School Pictures!

Well, the other front tooth fell out this weekend...and school pics are Thursday! Here is a preview of what Laurel's 1st grade picture will look like. (I do plan on brushing her hair, though!)

Just in time for Fall School Pics...

...Laurel lost her top front tooth. And the other front tooth is also VERY loose! This is the 3rd tooth that she has lost, but she was so excited you would have thought it was her first.

I told her that she had to keep the other front tooth until her tooth grew in...but it is literally just hanging. It should be out by the weekend for sure. We will post a picture of that soon.

New House

I promised I would put a couple of pictures of the new house on here. And here they finally are.

Some of the pictures are from before we moved in, but I took new pictures of Landon and Laurel's rooms. We had them painted before we moved in...not much has changed about the rest of the house except the furniture so I didn't bother with taking photos of it.
